Troubles with my 2022 RAM 3500 Diesel: DEF and DPF Nightmares

The video highlights an individual’s frustrating experience with their 2022 Ram 4×4 Diesel, emphasizing the persistent DEF system issues, even with less than 60,000 kilometers on it. The owner has experienced continuous problems from day one, including incorrect DEF readings and an engine trouble light that won’t turn off. The truck is often at the dealership for repairs, but the issues persist due to a lack of available parts. This video also touches upon ongoing radio problems from his previous 2020 model. The video ends with the owner waiting for a response from Ram.

The Struggles with My 2022 Ram 4×4 Diesel: A First-Hand Experience

Are you considering purchasing a 2022 RAM 3500 Diesel 4WD? Well, think again. I am here to share my personal experience with this model, and trust me, it’s not a pleasant one. Let me take you through the series of DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) and DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) problems I have faced since day one of owning this truck.

First things first, let’s talk about the DEF issues. From the moment I drove my brand new RAM 3500 Diesel off the lot, I have been dealing with DEF problems. To put it simply, it’s been a nightmare. After less than 60,000 kilometers, my truck is already on the verge of going into cripple mode. Yes, you heard that right.

Even after taking it to the dealership multiple times, the DEF problem persists. I recently added six gallons of DEF, and guess what? It’s showing empty. Can you believe that? I am seriously questioning the reliability of this truck. I mean, why should a brand new vehicle have such recurring issues?

To make matters worse, the dealership seems to be overwhelmed with a lack of parts and resources. Every time I take my truck in, they tell me they are backed up and can’t attend to it for at least three or more days. This level of inconvenience is infuriating, to say the least.

And let’s not forget about the engine trouble light. Since day one, it has been a constant companion. I love RAM trucks, and this is now my fifth Ram diesel, but I have never experienced such frustration before. The DEF system, in particular, is incredibly unreliable. How can I trust this vehicle when it keeps failing me?

I must also mention the radio issue. My previous 2020 RAM had trouble with its radio, also a major recall on the fuel system. Now, my 2022 RAM is following suit. It’s as if the electronics in these trucks are determined to make my life miserable.

At this point, I have lost count of how many times my truck has been in the dealership for repairs. While the staff is friendly and polite, their inability to resolve the DEF / DPF problems due to a lack of parts is driving me crazy. I am tired of waiting for days without any solution in sight.

So, here’s where I stand now – my RAM 3500 Diesel 4WD, a 2022 model that is already in crippled mode. It’s disappointing to see such a beautiful truck with the potential for greatness plagued by these issues. I am currently waiting for a phone call from RAM, hoping for some resolution or at least an explanation.

If you are considering purchasing a 2022 RAM 3500 Diesel 4WD, I urge you to think twice. Based on my experience, this truck is far from reliable. The DEF and DPF problems, along with the radio issues, have made me question the overall quality of this model. Stay tuned to see what RAM has to say about my situation. Perhaps they can salvage this disappointing experience, and I can get my truck back on the road.

Stay informed and stay cautious when making your next vehicle purchase.
