Code- Compliant SAFEBOLT™ is designed for classrooms which are generally locked by key from the exterior and retrofits to existing cylindrical level locks, making it simple and affordable to install.
Bill from Securitech and we have the ASSA Abloy. Now, this is an interesting product for schools. We are going to do more in depth, but this is just quick and dirty right now. The school keeps its existing cylindrical lock. They add the safe bolt. That’s all it takes for the teacher to put it into lockdown mode.
Large deadbolt and indicator, but because we’re working with the original cylindrical lock, single motion egress pipe that meets all life safety codes. We are not locking children in a classroom and the school can keep their existing hardware. So now it is locked. It is in lockdown mode.
