Understanding the Tubular Lock:
Before we begin, let’s familiarize ourselves with the tubular lock and its components. A tubular lock, also known as an ace lock, features a cylindrical keyway with pins arranged in a circular pattern. These locks are commonly found on safes and other secure containers. To pick a tubular lock, we need specialized tools known as tubular lock picks. These picks have a design that corresponds to the circular arrangement of pins in the lock.

Preparing the Tubular Lock Pick:
To start, ensure that all the components of the tubular lock pick are flush. Loosen the knob and place the pick on a flat surface. Gently lock it down, ensuring it is not overtightened.

Inserting the Tubular Lock Pick:
Next, let’s insert the tubular lock pick into the lock. Pay attention to a small notch inside the lock. This notch will align with a corresponding feature on the pick. Slowly apply light turning pressure to the right while gently bouncing the pick up and down.

Picking the Tubular Lock:
By applying the right amount of pressure and using the bouncing technique, we can gradually unlock the tubular lock. Once the lock is successfully picked, you can turn it back to the lock position.

Creating a Key:
Now that the lock is picked, we can proceed to create a key. Remove the pick carefully, and you will notice that the tension applied during picking has pushed the pins inward. Lock the pick down and use a special key machine to create a key that corresponds to the picked lock.
Picking a tubular lock may seem challenging at first, but with the right tools and techniques, it can be mastered. Remember to exercise caution and only use these skills for legal and ethical purposes. We hope this guide has provided you with valuable insights into the art of picking tubular locks.
