Introduction to RAM Key Fob Battery Replacement
This video is on how to replace the RAM key fob battery, and this is on a 2022 3500. So it’s pretty simple.
Removing the Mechanical Key
First step is remove the mechanical key, and there’s a little mechanical release button here, and this is for the emergency key. We pull that out, just depress, and that’s the emergency key. And you can see here we have left and right.
Opening the Key Fob
Just put a little screwdriver in there. And just give it a little twist. Give that one a little twist. And we can pull off the cover. Just snaps off. There is our button.
Replacing the Battery
Replace our button battery. And this one is a CR2032. CR2032. And it just pops out. It’s pretty quick and easy. Just pop it out. Take your new one. Just pop it back in there. Positive side up. So make sure that when you insert the new battery positive side is facing up.
Reassembling the Key Fob
Put the case back together again. And just snap it. Put the two halves together. Just snap it together.
And insert the emergency key back. And we’re ready to go. So this is how to. Replace the RAM key fob battery on a 2022 3500 one ton RAM pickup truck.
