How to Install a Canada Post Crown Lockbox: Step-by-Step Guide

Crown Lock Key Box for Canada Post Mail Delivery

This key box is designed specifically for mail delivery service. It can be installed outside your building to store building access keys or an access swipe card so mail carriers can get inside to deliver the mail.

The box is secured by a Crown Lock which is installed by Canada Post and only they have keys. This key box works great when there is no entryphone access for mail carriers such as locked mail rooms, outside mail houses or secured gazebos.

Installation:
First, confirm the use of and location of your key box with Canada Post.

Recommended to mount to a concrete wall with concrete anchors at a suitable height for access. Concrete anchors holding the shroud in place should be non-removable (hammered or welded nuts on the end). Security nuts can also be installed to lock the anchors in place.

Once the key box is installed, contact Canada Post to install their crown lock in the key box, and provide them with building keys to store in the box.
