Hi, I’m Terry from Mr. Locksmith! As a professional locksmith, I’m always on the lookout for tools that can make my job more efficient and effective. I’ve been eyeing the Diablo Snap Lock Plus Hole Saws for a while now. After seeing a demo, I finally decided to give them a try. Let’s dive into my first impressions and see how these tools perform.
The Diablo Snap Lock Plus system caught my attention because of its promise to save time and make swapping hole saws a breeze. I picked up the kit, which comes with a quick-release attachment, a 1-inch hole saw, and a 2 1/8-inch hole saw—two of the most common sizes locksmiths use when installing deadbolts, knobs, and other hardware.
These hole saws are advertised as being up to **50 times more durable** than standard hole saws. That’s a big claim, so I was eager to test it out for myself. They’re bi-metal, designed for both wood and metal, which is perfect for the range of jobs locksmiths handle, including light steel doors, wood doors, and even some heavier-duty steel doors.
– A quick-release attachment
– A 1-inch hole saw
– A 2 1/8-inch hole saw
– Adapters for using other standard hole saws
This system is incredibly versatile because you can attach your existing hole saws to it using the provided adapters. It’s designed to be user-friendly and to make your workflow smoother.
For locksmiths, having reliable tools is critical, and the Diablo Snap Lock Plus fits the bill. The most common sizes—1 inch and 2 1/8 inches—cover almost all deadbolt and knob installations. Additionally, the bi-metal construction ensures that these hole saws can handle the variety of materials locksmiths encounter daily.
So, is the Diablo Snap Lock Plus worth it? Based on my first impressions, I’d say absolutely! The quick-release system is incredibly convenient, the hole saws are durable, and the overall design is well thought out. This tool is definitely going in my kit and will be a staple for lock installations moving forward.
Stay tuned as I put these hole saws through more rigorous testing during actual lock installations. I’ll also update you on how well the carbide-tipped blades hold up over time.
If you’re a locksmith or DIY enthusiast looking for tools to streamline your workflow, the Diablo Snap Lock Plus is worth considering. I’ll be showcasing more of its capabilities in future videos, so be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for updates.
